Jerome Joseph Jacob

Jerome J. Jacob, of Inverness was born on May 9, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois to Mathew and Anna (nee Schumacher) Jacob. He died Sunday, May 21, 2017 in Lincolnshire.

Mr. Jacob was Vice President for Insurance Company of Illinois and WW Vincent Company during his 40-year career until his retirement in 1991. He was a Catholic Order of Forester officer, was a member of the Northbrook Civic Club and the Friendship League of Northbrook. Jerry had a love for music, played the piano and sang in numerous church choirs

He is survived by his children, Rev. Jerome J. Jacob, Jr., William M. (Nancy) Jacob and Kathryn A. (John) Gustafson; grandchildren, Ashley, Erik and Michael Gustafson, and Rachel and William Jacob, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Marie Jacob (nee Henrich); his sisters, Margaret Dolores Jacob and Virginia (George) Nash; and by his parents.

Visitation from 9:00 am until Funeral Mass, 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 22333 W. Erhart Road, Mundelein, Illinois. Private family committal at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines following mass.
