Joe O'Driscoll

Joe O'Driscoll, aged 85, was born on January 14, 1939, in Cork, Ireland, to Frank and Christina (née Dempsey) O'Driscoll. He passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at The Moorings of Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Joe pursued a career in chemical engineering after completing his studies, beginning at Whitegate Refinery in Cork. His professional journey took him across the globe, including stints in England, Ireland, Puerto Rico, and the UK, before he settled in Des Plaines, IL, with UOP. After retiring in 2000, Joe embraced his love for golf and was a dedicated season ticket holder for the Chicago Bears.

Joe is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Marjorie (née Atkinson); his sons, John (Erica), Kevin (Jessica), and Gary; his cherished grandchildren, Katie and Tommy; and loving siblings, Anne and Donal O'Driscoll (Rita), who reside in Ireland. He will be remembered for his warmth, dedication, and the love he shared with his family and friends.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 am, Friday, May 24, 2024 at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, Illinois.
