John A. Clancy, Ret. Battalion Chief, CFD, U. S. Navy Veteran and Honor Flight recipient, age 89 of Arlington Heights was born April 9, 1926 in Chicago to Andrew and Catherine (nee Norris) Clancy and passed away December 18, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. John was the beloved husband of Ruth M. (nee Fruin) Clancy; loving father of Kathy (John) Fischer, Jack (Bobbi) Clancy CFD, Ret., Mary Pat (John) Lyons, Eileen (late Dave) McGrath, Peggy (Mike) Bigoness, Michael Clancy, Jim (Kathy) Clancy and Dan (Kim) Clancy; cherished papa of 21; great-grandfather of 20; dear brother of Mary Therese (late John) Roche and fond brother-in-law of Jim (Gloria) Fruin CPD, Ret. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 3-8 PM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights and Wednesday, December 23 at St. Edna Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights from 9:00 AM until time of funeral mass 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
