In addition to sports, his favorite times included playing cards, cooking, parties, entertaining, and his overall love of family. Joe married Kathleen Beers, his college sweetheart in 1977. While raising their three boys in Arlington Heights, he was always a very involved Dad. He spent many years dedicated to Scouts and coaching baseball and football at all levels.
