Josephine A. O'Brien

Josephine A. O’Brien, nee Bryne age 86 of Arlington Heights, beloved wife of the late Dixon O’Brien Jr; loving mother of Dixon III, Thomas ,Timothy (Marcy), Terance, and the late Kevin; cherished grandmother of Eric, Nicole (Mark) Bradbury, Natalie, Stephanie, Nolan, Lindsey, and Ashley O'Brien; Dear sister of the late Jim and Mary Bryne.

Josephine O'Brien was a mother of five boys and a grandmother to many. She was also a consummate professional. In 1972, she and her husband began O'Brien & Associates, where she served as the President for the past 38 years. Until only a few days before her passing, she would go to work each day with pleasure.

Her positive view of life was highlighted by her great sense of humor along with her wit and charm, which she shared with all. She has the wonderful ability to brighten a room and always put a smile on someone's face.

Of her many joys of life, her favorite was cooking. Her great passion for a new or classic meal was enjoyed by anyone passing by. Josephine would not hesitate to open her dining room table for all to enjoy.

She also loved traveling to her favorite island, Aruba. Her love of the island was also a place for many of her extended family to love too. If not at work or Aruba, she was often found at her summer home in Lake Delavan, where so many friends were made, and many memories would become unforgettable.

Visitation Friday August 19, from 4-8 pm at Lauterburg and Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Funeral Service Saturday August 20, at 11:00am at the funeral home, with an interment immediately following at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights In lieu of flowers, donations to Riverside Foundation http://www.riversidefoundation.net/donate/ would be appreciated.
