

She was the wife, best friend and forever love of John Johnson; Judy and John met on a group camping trip in northern Arizona. Both were motorcycle enthusiasts. They immediately found a common bond of love, respect and friendship. With their love for the beach, motorcycles and the great outdoors, they went on many camping trips in New Mexico, California and Arizona.
Judy was an avid collector of all things, VW bus miniatures, beach adornments and antiques. Judy loved her canine companions, Zelda and Scruffy. Judy worked for over 20 years for Wells Fargo Bank as an accounts manager.
Living in Phoenix, Judy attended Motorcycle Mechanics Institute, graduating in 1998 with an emphasis on Harley-Davidson technical and late model programs.Judy was diagnosed with ALS in 2021 after a long analysis to properly determine and identify her symptoms.
With her brother, John, her sister-in-law, Lorraine, and her cousin, Nancy steadfastly beside her, Judy was comfortably cared for, realizing the seriousness of her ALS condition.Judy was the beautiful daughter of the late John and Jacqueline Slezak of Arlington Heights and Phoenix.
Judy was the sister of John Slezak and Jason Slezak of Illinois; sister-in-law of Lorraine Coyle and Dawn Johnson of Illinois; cousin of Robert Scott, Carroll Baker, and Susan Scott of Wisconsin; cousin of Jay and Richard Slezak of Illinois; cousin of Dawn Lloyd of Florida and Lloyd Slezak of California; cousin of Nancy Beuchel and Wayne Beuchel of Arizona, and Suzanne Slezak of Illinois; cousin of Montel Watson and Jeffrey Watson of Florida and niece of Mary Lou Slezak of Illinois.We will always remember Judy for her quick wit and ability to light up a room with her beautiful smile.
A celebration of life service is to be scheduled.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to ALS Association, Arizona.
