Karen L. Schuetz

Karen L. Schuetz passed away on July 27, 2024 in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. Born on April 4, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois to Edward and Arlene Haberstroh. She grew up attending St. Robert Bellarmine and later graduated from Resurrection High School. Karen furthered her education at Rockford College, which paved the way for a successful career as a senior branch office administrator at Edward Jones.

Karen was a devoted member of the Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, where she found a community that shared her values and spirit. She was known for being a wonderful mother, loving sister, and devoted friend. Her strong will, helpfulness, caring nature and organizational skills made her a cherished figure in both her personal and professional life.

She is survived by her daughters Kaitlyn and Kourtney Schuetz; her sisters Julie (Brian) Emmel and Linda Getzinger; and her nephews Steven and Kevin (Rachael) and Ryan Emmel and Nikolas, Tyler and Nolan Getzinger. Karen is preceded in death by her parents.

In honor of Karen's lifelong spirit of giving and support and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors, the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation or Big Brothers, Big Sisters of America.

A visitation will take place from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. Arlington Heights, Illinois 60004. A Funeral Service will take place at 10:00am on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Glueckert Funeral Home. Interment Windridge Memorial Park and Nature Sanctuary, 7014 S. Rawson Bridge Rd. Cary, IL 60013.
