Kay attended Leyden High School in Franklin Park, IL. She passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025 in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Kathryn is survived by her husband, Ralph; children Lori Reich and Mike (Susie, div.), grandchildren Sara (Matt Kaempfe) Reich, Nicholas (Kirsten) Trossen, and William Trossen. Great-grandchildren Roselyn Reich-Kaempfe, Noah Trossen and sister-in-law Lynn Sherry.
She is preceded in death by parents, John and Lena, brother Robert Cameron, sister-in-law Audrey Cameron, brother-in-law William Sherry, and son-in-law Glenn Reich.
Kay worked for the local school district before having children then was a stay-at-home mom. She eventually went back to work at United Airlines as an executive assistant. Kay loved golfing, traveling, sewing, quilting, and cooking for her family. She had an ace at Arlington Lakes Golf Club and proudly displayed her plaque at their home. She made many beautiful seasonal quilts, childhood Halloween costumes, and two amazing wedding dresses. Kay and Ralph raised their children in Mt. Prospect, their children both graduating from Forest View High School in Arlington Heights. They made many friends and lifelong memories. She was a loving wife to Ralph for 71 years and constantly showed her love and respect to him.
Kay will be missed by all that knew her.
A visitation for Kathryn will take place on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Glueckert Funeral Home 1520 N Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights, or the ASPCA in memory of Kay
