Dear Greg, Logan, Carol, and Michael, 

As the Director of Alumni Relations Emeritus at Saint Viator, I offer you the sympathy and prayers of the Saint Viator High School community, as well as my own.  Know that our hearts go out to you as you move through your journey of grief.  You are in our prayers as you continue to  share the stories, laugh and cry, and find ways to celebrate the life of your mother, your grandmother, your daughter, your sister, and the love you shared. 

As I read the Tribute Wall posts for this faith-filled woman, who was not only a "loving mother," but also an accomplished teacher and coach," I was reminded of a reading adapted from the book of Sirach.  

“Let us praise an illustrious woman,
faithful to her family and friends, strong in her love.
At peace in her heart and her world,
she has left us her good name, and we recount her life of praiseworthy deeds.
A generous woman her good works will never be forgotten.
Among her family and friends remains a rich inheritance born of her….
Her name lives on from generation to generation.
We gather to sing her praises.
We proclaim her wisdom and love of life all our days.”

May God’s promise that life is changed, not ended, comfort you!
May the knowledge your mother, your grandmother, your daughter, your sister,  lives on in your goodness give you peace and hope!

I am sad to hear of your loss and wish to extend my condolences.  I worked with Mike and Kelly both at Motorola.  Kelly and I worked on the same team for a period of time and she was a sweet soul... always smiling and positive.  I remember thinking she was such a good mom.  I pray that God gives you comfort, strength and revelation of HIS LOVE during this difficult time_Matthew 5:4. May her life/legacy and EVERY memory of her warm your hearts today... always. God bless you all.

My deepest condolences to Kelly’s family. As a guidance counselor and coach at Conant High School I knew Kelly well. Kelly was an accomplished teacher and coach, and more importantly, a wonderful, positive person. She has left us far too soon.

I didn’t know Kelly very long but from the first time I met her I could tell that she had  was a kind person with a beautiful soul. My grandson Joseph often wants me to read him the book that “Miss Kelly” gave him. She will be missed and thought of often as she rest’s in the arms of peace. My heartfelt condolences to  her family that she spoke about often with love.

I was an aide at Conant High school and worked with Kelly for many years.  She was a wonderful, smart and caring person.  It am so sad to hear of her passing,  but I know you have many wonderful memories of her just like so many of us at Conant.  She will definitely be missed.

In addition to my friendship with Mike, I was also privileged to be a co-worker with Kelly at Motorola for a few years and friend for much longer.  I will remember Kelly for her quick wit, her humor and her intelligence.  She was so fun to be around.  

To Carol, Greg, Mike and the rest of the O'Connor family, Annie and I send our prayers and best wishes for all of you.  May Kelly rest in peace.

I knew Kelly through Conant, and because Greg is also my sister, Jenna’s, age, and they went to St. Hubert together. We used to always see her at sporting events there. I remember when Kelly was the head girl’s basketball coach at Conant she was so intense and competitive, and my family loved that about her. I also had her as a teacher for a sports marketing class. I remember watching and talking about the commercials the day after the Super Bowl, and it was fun. Her family is in my thoughts.

I met Kelly a few years ago when she attended a St. James Women's Retreat, and then took on new roles to bring the retreat experience to other women.  Kelly was genuine, honest and brave.  She will be missed.  Heaven welcomes a caring soul.  Blessings and condolences to her family.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I was Kelly's friend/colleague at Conant.  Kelly and I used to ride our bikes around the forest preserve by Harper on Sunday mornings.  I enjoyed the rides and the conversations.   She always talked about her son and how proud she was!!!  Kelly was a kind person and will be missed.

To the family: Kelly was my basketball coach at Schaumburg High School. She was always one of my favorite coaches and I absolutely loved her attitude. She cared about all of us and challenged us at the same time, she was the best. Very saddened by this news, but also feel very lucky she was a part of my life. Rest in peace, Coach O’Connor.

I met Kelly at a Women’s Retreat at St James Church. She was a beautiful soul who loved her family so much. I know that she is in heaven and her pain is gone. May she rest in peace.

I had the honor of being Kelly's basketball coach at Harper College. She was a joy to coach and could launch a shot from anywhere. Some days Greg would join us at practice and Kelly balanced her parental duties with college academics and athletics. She had a great work ethic and never gave less than her best. She will be dearly missed.

So saddened and shocked to hear the news of Kelly's passing. She was a great person who was taken from us much too soon. My heartfelt condolences to all of her family.

I'm so saddened to hear about Kelly's passing. I have fond memories of her from high school when she coached the boys basketball team. I enjoyed hanging out with her and Greg when he was much younger. So sad, im terribly sorry Greg for your loss. She was a great woman.

I worked at Conant High School as a member of the clerical staff  when Kelly was a teacher there .  I have been retired for 8 years now but I can still picture Kelly’s beautiful smile when she came in the office.  Kelly was always friendly and it seemed she would bring some sunshine in with her even on a cloudy day.  I was very sad to read of her passing.  Kelly's family will be in my prayers

I am so sorry to hear of Kelly’s passing😢. Kelly was an inspiration to me as she was always so positive and full of encouragement.  I pray Kelly is at peace and I would like to express my deepest condolences to her entire family.

Gone from this world much too soon, I feel blessed to have been friends with Kelly for over 1/2 my life. From Jr.High and high school gatherings at the Gari’s , being teammates at SHS and colleagues at CHS, Kelly was always fun to be around. She had a big heart and gave of herself to her son and family unconditionally. I will cherish our lunch chats always. Heaven is getting a beautiful soul. ❤️
