Kenneth Wilbur Trotter born in Peoria, IL on December 16, 1943, to Sidney and Ann (nee Heller) Trotter. He died unexpectedly on July 10, 2021, at Captain James Lovell Hospital in North Chicago, with his family surrounding him.
Kenneth served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1967-1970 in Japan as part of the medical supply corps at Camp Oji. He filled the roles of Project Manager, Public Relations Officer, Weapons Officer, and Chemical Warfare Officer. He ended his distinguished service as a Captain.
He received his degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin in June 1966 and his MBA in international business from Thunderbird School of Global Management. He was a long-time fan of the “oldies mcgoodies” introducing his children to hit artists such as the Beach Boys and the Beatles. Kenneth loved his three children dearly. He was also a devoted grandfather, spending much of his time as a spectator at his grandchildren’s sporting events. Kenneth was known for his humor, spirit for travel and adventure, love of animals and the natural world, and his pride in his family, always reminding them to watch each other’s backs and cherish each other.
Kenneth is survived by his children Paul Trotter of Arlington Heights, IL, Kendelle Trotter of Okinawa, Japan, and Kimberly Trotter of Las Vegas, NV; his grandchildren Tristan Trotter and Kian Trotter; and his brothers, Robert Trotter and Richard Trotter.
Funeral and interment service will be private.
