Kula Farsalas

Of Deer Park

Kula Farsalas was born on March 5, 1932 in Yianohori, Kastoria, Greece to Athanasios and Maria (nee Grevalis) Kovatchis. She died Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Greek American Rehab & Nursing Center, Wheeling.

Mrs. Farsalas was a homemaker former coat check clerk from 1973 to 1979, and hostess at Sally's Waffle House from 1981 to 1999. She was a member of Brotherhood of Grammos.

Kula is survived by her daughter, Connie M. (John) Zaino, her son, Nick J. (Debi) Farsalas; her granddaughters, Alexia Zaino, Demitra Zaino, Nicole Farsalas, and Stephanie Farsalas.

She was preceded in death by her husband James N. Farsalas; her parents; and her siblings, Evdoxia, George, Sam, Kostandina, and Paul.

Visitation from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Funeral Service 10:00 am, Monday, October 7, 2019 at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, 7373 N. Caldwell Avenue, Niles, Illinois. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, Illinois.
