Leland J. Leikam

Leland J. “Lee” Leikam, 86 of Prairie View was born December 21, 1929 in Buffalo Grove to Joseph and Helen (nee Gabriel) Leikam and passed away February 4, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Lee was the beloved husband of Verdell R. (nee Jarmuth) Leikam and they just celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary; loving father of Bruce R. (Dawna McCart) Leikam, Mark L. Leikam, Keith P. Leikam, Janice R. (Carlos) Vidrio, LeAnne E. (Blake Jon) Peterson and the late Brenda L. Buchanan, Jeffrey K. (Gayle) Leikam and Daniel D. Leikam; cherished grandfather of Dane, Michael L. (Betsy) Hoeinghaus, David (Ana) Hoeinghaus, Geoffrey (Sarah) Hoeinghaus, Timothy Vidrio, Ryan Vidrio, Danielle Peterson, Dylan Peterson and Melanie Leikam; great-grandfather of Ava, Hannah and Brenda, dear brother of Donald (Carol) Leikam, Mary Ann (Ken Hildebrand) Doyle and the late Georgine Draper, Germaine Hoskins, Richard Leikam, Thomas Leikam and Geraldine Reckamp and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 3-9 PM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. Prayers will be said on Friday, February 12 at 9:00 AM and proceed to St. Mary Church, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove for funeral mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Mary Parish Cemetery.
