Leona Thudium

Leona Thudium was born on October 27, 1928, in Chicago, IL to Frank and Rose (nee Caciappo) Caruso. She died June 4, 2020, at Lee Manor in Des Plaines.

Some of her hobbies in her younger years were bowling, baking, and fishing at the Farm. She was always willing to crochet a blanket or afghan for anyone. In her later years she enjoyed the senior gambling trips, penny slots, and bingo. She always enjoyed spending time with all of her friends and especially family. Leona is survived by her children Charles (Carol) Thudium, Rosemary Thudium and Frances Thudium; her grandchildren, Stefaine Thudium, Bryan Thudium, George Callahan (Sarah), Michael Callahan, Thomas Callahan, Anthony Callahan; her great-grandchild Addisyn Son-Callahan; her sisters Mary Mattes, Anna Hummel, Rose Hopper and Josephine Juhas; and her many nieces and nephewsLeona is preceded in death by her husband Christian Thudium; her son Michael; her brothers Felix (Theresa), Carl (Diane), and Ignatius (Trivennia) Caruso; her brothers-in-law Martin Mattes Jr., Robert Hummel, Ralph Hopper, and Joseph Juhas; and by her parents.
