Lester Kenneth Lexby, 70, of Arlington Heights, Illinois met his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ face to face on April 23, 2022. While this was a surprise to all who knew and all who loved him, it was not a surprise to God. God knew when Lester's last day on Earth would be. We can only imagine how excited Lester is to be in Heaven!
Lester was born March 26, 1952, the son of Leif Kenneth and Luella Lexby. Les graduated from Trinity College in Deerfield, Illinois and worked for Clark Oil in Bensenville as a District Manager for many years. Following that, Les managed a shoe store and then completed his employment journey at the Chase Call Center in Elgin, IL.
Les was an avid Chicago sports fan...loving the Cubs, Bears, and Bulls. He was a lifelong member of the Orchard Evangelical Free Church (previously the Arlington Heights Evangelical Free Church). He was a member for over 53 years! Les loved his Lord Jesus, his family, his friends, and all he met along his journey. No matter where life found him ... at work ... in the hospital ... in Physical Rehabilitation Centers... at church ... etc., Lester touched lives by asking questions, learning names, showing interest, sending cards, helping, encouraging, and praying for those he met.
Lester is survived by his sisters Lynn M. Nash, Kathy A. (Jim) McMahon, and Judy M. Lexby; his niece Caitlin N. McMahon; his nephews Robert K. (Tracey) Nash, Andrew S. McMahon, and Ken J. McMahon; his great nephew Robby D. Nash; his great niece Vivian J. Nash; and his brother-in-law Robert A. Nash.
Lester was preceded in death by his parents Ken and Luella Lexby, his brother Keith A. Lexby, and his nephew Jason R. Nash.
While we grieve, we CELEBRATE that Les is with our Abba Father God, Jesus, our parents, brother Keith, son/nephew Jason and a host of many other relatives and friends in Heaven and we are confident that we will see him again! Les experienced many physical challenges over the last few years but kept his eyes on Jesus and is now whole and healthy once again!
