Lucas Alexander William Mazdra, 21, of Buffalo Grove was born January 24, 1995 in Chicago and passed away September 1, 2016. Lucas was the cherished son of William and Kathleen (nee Johnston) Mazdra; loving brother of the late Jacob; precious grandson of Genevieve and the late Wayne Johnston and the late William John and the late Louise Mazdra; dear nephew of JoAnn (Raymond) Davis and James William (Lorene) Mazdra and fond cousin of Katie (Sean) Lang, Megan Davis, Jamie Mazdra and Judith Mazdra. Luke charmed all the ladies with his sparkling blue eyes and sneaky chuckle. He always carried his basketball and was ready to shoot hoops. If no hoop was available he would improvise! Anything could be a hoop for Luke! He was a determined child with a true warrior spirit! A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
