M. Diane Delaney

M. Diane Delaney was born on October 22, 1949, in Evanston, Illinois to Robert and Marian (nee Haeberle) O'Brien. She died Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at Sherman Hospital, Elgin.

Before retiring Ms. Delaney was a bus driver for Durham Bus Services. She will be remembered as being an excellent cook, a world traveler, enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and Nature. She had an endearing love for her children, grandchildren, and her two cats. She enjoyed working with her students while being a School Bus Driver. From time to time she would dabble in crafts and in her younger years was an excellent artist.

Diane is survived by her children Mary Jane Vivero, Patrick P. Delaney, and Rosaleen (Desmond Green) Delaney; her grandchildren, Chloe Anderson, Neko, Gavin, Tom Henry, and Breanna Lee, Lacie, Grantlee Delaney, and, Olivia Green; and her siblings Irene (Bill) Rush, and Martin (Christy Waltersdorff) O'Brien.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Emmet O'Brien.

Visitation from 9:00 am until time of funeral service at 11:00 am, on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at the Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Interment Memory Gardens, Arlington Heights, Illinois.
