Peggy’s long association with the Little Sisters of the Poor left her with a lasting admiration for their dedication to the virtue of tender caring. She tried to emulate this throughout her nursing career as a certified Holistic nurse, as a medical/surgical nurse, a geriatric nurse, a hospital nursing supervisor, a home care nurse, a professor of nursing at Oakton Community College, and finally as a hospice nurse. Peggy loved and appreciated her family and felt truly blessed in Chicago to have the long and devoted friendship of Mary and Anne McGarrigle. Peggy cherished the lifelong friendship of her wonderful friend, Marie Rodgers, of Springfield, Pennsylvania.
