Marilynn Joyce Kay, 88, was born November 25, 1935, in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Frances (nee Jeray) Smoley. She died Monday, May 27, 2024, at Sunrise of Bloomingdale, in Bloomingdale, Illinois.
Before retiring, Mrs. Kay was an executive secretary for Honeywell. She was an avid reader and enjoyed travelling with her life-long girlfriends.
Marilynn is survived by her children John Kay and Deborah Kraus; her grandchildren, Kristie (Todd) Sharon, Matthew, Zachary, and Nicholas (Caitlin) Kraus, Ashley (Tommy) Oliver, and Kyle Bodi; her great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Everett, and Durham; her brothers, Franklin Smoley and Joseph (Mary) Smoley; and close friend, Julie.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John; her son, Richard; and her parents.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
