Martin Harry Zell

Martin Harry Zell, a beloved husband, son, father, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully, on April 2, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on August 2, 1950, in Chicago, IL, Martin was the cherished son of Virginia (née Buczak) and Harry Zell.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Martin is survived by his loving wife, of 42 years, Laura Zell (née Szorc); beloved children, Susan (Michael Bernat) Zell and Thomas Martin Zell; dear sister, Cynthia Zell; cherished nieces and nephews, Greg, Jeff, Jordan, Anthony, Alex and Allison. Martin also leaves behind many friends who will miss him greatly.

Family will be receiving guests on Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. The funeral service will start at 5:00 PM. Interment will take place at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 10, 2026 at St Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery, Palatine, IL. Guests are invited to assemble directly at the cemetery office at 12:50 PM.
