Mary Dean obtained a degree in music from Loyola University in New Orleans and taught school in the early days of her marriage to Mickey. Despite having a level of intelligence that could have garnered her any career she chose, she devoted herself to her husband and her family. This amazing woman raised five children, all born within three and a half years of each other. She is remembered for being selfless, gentle, kind, patient; with a positive disposition and unwavering faith until her last days.
Mary Dean was passionate about her home, creating gardens and decorating the interior spaces to rival that of professionals. Her home during the holidays was magical and the love and skill that created the food and decorations has given her family lasting memories. There is a piece of her in each of us and she will live on in our hearts.
