Mary Ann Frederick

Mary Ann (Holman) Frederick of Arlington Heights passed away on September 5, 2023 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Mary Ann passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side.

Mary Ann was brought into this world on December 31, 1944 to Charles and Suzetta Holman, and was raised in Mt. Carroll, Illinois with her younger sister, Bette Holman. Mary Ann was one of the sweetest women to ever walk this earth and our family was blessed to have her as the head of the family. Mary Ann graduated from Northwestern University in 1966 with a degree in Music History and a minor in Classical Piano. She loved music, Jazzercise, tennis, gardening, bird watching, reading, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family.

She married Gary Frederick in 1968 and together they went on to have one child, Juliet. Mary Ann was a wonderful and loving mother. Her daughter will never be able to fill the space left behind by her.

Mary Ann was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Suzetta, and her beloved cat Merg. She is survived by her daughter Juliet (Mark) Kopulos of Arlington Heights, her beloved grandson Luke, and her sister Bette of Mesa, Arizona. She will be dearly missed by all who were privileged to know her.

Visitation Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, from 1:00 PM until the time of the Celebration of life service at 4:00 PM. Interment private.
