Mary Nanette "Nan" MunroOf Arlington HeightsMary Nanette "Nan" Munro was born on November 24, 1956 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Raymond and Catherine (nee Poshusta) Munro. She died Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Presence Resurrection Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.Nan was a long-time resident of Glenkirk. She lived for many years in a group-home environment, and for a number of years in the home of caregiver Monica Bhalai. The years with Mrs. Bhalai were the happiest and most fulfilling of Nan"s life, having the tender loving care of her housemother, the companionship of her roommate, Cathy, and the joy of the extended Bhalai family, all under one roof.Nan"s favorite pastimes included visiting McDonald"s, watching the trains, and shopping at Jewel. She enjoyed helping in the kitchen and doing her chores. She was always up for a party, and enjoyed many holiday gatherings with Monica and her family.Nan is survived by her brothers, Raymond (Virginia) Munro and Patrick Munro; her housemother and caregiver, Monica Bhalai; her Medical Specialist, Margaret Stiller; and her dear friend, Cathy.She was preceded in death by her parents and by her brothers Thomas and Richard "Dedrick" Munro.Memorial Service to be held 11:00 am, Friday, June 5, 2015 at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N.
