Eloise Purcell was born on January 29, 1933 in Amarillo, TX to John and Grace Denton. She died Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in Chicago.
She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner at St. Emily’s parish for decades before moving downtown and becoming a member of Old St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Eloise was very artistic and loved to wood carve, watch old movies, and volunteer at local hospitals. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and was loved by all.
Eloise is survived by her children, Kevin (Patricia) Purcell, Brad (Jane) Purcell, Nancy (David) Lincoln and Marcella Purcell; grandchildren, Patrick (Emily) Purcell, Sean Purcell, Andrew Purcell, Scott Purcell, Nicholas Purcell, and Alexis Lincoln; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Charles Purcell; her parents; siblings, John Denton, Joseph Denton, Robert Denton, Ruth Denton, Margaret Denton, Ann Denton and Dorothy Denton.
Visitation, Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Prayers 8:45 am Monday, July 17, 2017 at the funeral home proceeding to Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights, IL 60005 for a 9:30 am Funeral Mass. Interment private.
