He died Friday, December 5, 2014 in Highland Park.Mr. Downey was a retired Edgewood School Literature teacher in Highland Park and previously taught at Rosette and Jefferson Schools in DeKalb.Mike is survived by his siblings, Barbara Bradley and John (Bettie) Downey.He was preceded in death by his parents.Memorial visitation from 1pm until 3pm, Wednesday at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N.
