Nancy Lois Chierico

Of Palatine

Nancy Lois Chierico was born March 6, 1942 in Chicago to Otto and Bessie (nee Vitek) Poch. She died November 13, 2019 at her home in Palatine.

Nancy grew up in Cicero, IL and was a graduate of Morton East High School. She worked for the Social Security Administration and the Immigration and Naturalization Services as a secretary. She then became a legal secretary for a private law firm. Later she became a stay at home mom. She loved to spend time in her flower gardens, cooking old and new recipes and entertaining family and friends. When the grandkids were born, they were her pride and joy. She loved having them live nearby so she could spend time with them, go on vacations with them and watch them in their after-school activities.

Nancy was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Palatine and the Presidents Circle of the NCH Foundation.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Richard V. Chierico; her loving son Dustin (Kim) Chierico; her cherished grandchildren Bryce and Kayli Chierico. She is also survived by her brothers Russell (Martha) Poch and Les (Nancy) Poch; nieces Jennifer (Mike) Serene, Joni (Jason) Jones and Carla Poch; her nephew Kevin (Katie) Poch and by her great nephew and niece Jeremy and Makayla.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Funeral service 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
