Omar Vega-Jimenez was born on April 22, 1992 in Puebla, Mexico to Ranulfo Vega and Maria Elena Jimenez. He died Sunday, March 10, 2019 at his home.
Mr. Vega-Jimenez was a logistics coordinator for Schneider and was attending the College of Lake County an IT Security program.
Omar was a Chicago Blackhawks Fan who loved road tripping to camp, attend concerts, and music festivals, especially Electric Forest in Michigan. He played soccer and competed in distance running including Tough Mudder events. For entertainment he liked Avenger’s movies, The Office, scary movies and haunted houses. Chicken wings and beer were favorites and he enjoyed zombies, dogs and had a special connection with children. Omar will be remembered as caring, quick to make friends and a guy who would help anyone.
He is survived by this parents, Ranulfo and Maria Elena; his sister Yatzil Vega, his brother Arnulfo (Fabiola) Vega; and his girlfriend Connie Jaurez.
Visitation from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Friday, March 15 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd.,1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois and from 8:30 am time of Funeral Mass at 9:00 am, Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Maryville Academy-Marian Chapel, Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, 1150 N. River Road, Des Plaines, Illinois. Interment All Saints, Des Plaines, Illinois.
