Patricia S. Gallagher Of Mount ProspectPatricia S. Gallagher was born on November 13, 1930 in Lakewood, Ohio to Edward and Elsie (nee Nelson) Singler. She passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015 in Arlington Heights.Patricia was a 1948 graduate of St. Joseph Academy in Cleveland, Ohio where she made lifetime friends and found her love of basketball. She graduated in 1952 from St. Mary of the Woods College in Terra Haute, Indiana with a double major in Spanish and Business. Pat was an active member of St. James Church including the Small Faith Group and St. James Golf League. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Bill, family summer vacations, reading, gardening, golfing and watching her Cubs, Blackhawks and Bears.Pat was devoted to her family and friends. She taught through example with wisdom, patience and a fine sense of humor.Patricia is survived by her children, Kathy (Art) Stevens, Marianne (Ed) Salisbury, Jan (Steve) Schwellenbach, Bill (Donna) Gallagher and Patti (John) Ruleau; her grandchildren, Caitlin, Patrick, Sean, Maureen, Kevin, Tom, Brian, Jackie, Tracy, Erin (Michael), Megan, Bob, Mike (Kristen), Joe, Mike, Alexandria, Dianna and Erica; her great-grandchildren, Jaxson and Shane; her "sister," Lee Singler; and many nieces, nephews and friends.She was preceded in death by her husband, William Francis Gallagher; her parents; and her brother, Edward Singler, Jr.The family extends special thanks to Pat's neighbors and friends who always watched out for her, and to Jacquie, her wonderful caretaker.Visitation from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday, March 27, 2015 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 am Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Funeral Home, proceeding to St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 10:00 am.
