Paula Ann Albright, 70, of Arlington Heights, Illinois, was born September 5, 1953 to William H. Albright and June (nee Carlson) Albright and passed away on July 5, 2024. She was the beloved sister to Timothy (Vicki) Albright, Ami (Michael) Baron, and Christine (William) Headley. She was a devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews: Brett Albright, Isabel Baron, Joshua Baron, Will Headley, and Cora Headley. She will be missed dearly.
Paula was gifted with an intellect that allowed her to excel in numerous areas. After graduating from DePauw University, she worked for many years as a medical technologist at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. Eventually, she went to Kent College of Law in Chicago where she graduated with high honors. She spent her remaining career in the legal departments of both Lutheran General and Edward Hospital in Naperville, and she retired from Edward as Associate General Counsel.
Paula’s career choices in healthcare allowed her not only to draw upon her keen intelligence but also to use her strongest attribute to help others: her compassion. Patient, calm, kind, loving, empathic: these were the main words used to best describe Paula by those who had the great good fortune to know her. If a family member, friend, colleague, or even acquaintance needed a helping hand and a loving word, Paula provided it. If anyone was hurting or ailing, Paula was by their side. She was constant in her kindness and steadfast in her love for all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Glueckert Funeral Home from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Open visitation will be on that same Saturday from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lupus Foundation of America may be made in her name:
