Peter W. Arndt

Peter W. Arndt, 66, of Hoffman Estates, was born March 21, 1955 in Evanston and passed away November 28, 2021. Peter was the beloved husband of Mary (Wohlfeil) Arndt; loving father of Jeffrey (Becky) Arndt and Gregory Arndt; cherished grandfather of Abigail, Molly and Paige; devoted son of Barbara Arndt and the late Edward Arndt; dear brother of Bruce Arndt, Michael (Cindy) Arndt, Steven (Sue) Arndt, Robert (Sherie) Arndt, Kathryn (Brian) Sommer and Richard (Kim) Arndt and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

One of Peter’s greatest pleasures in life was the time he spent participating in Boy Scout activities, both as a child and a father.

He enjoyed teaching his sons the outdoor skills he learned when he was young. Every camping trip was another experience to bond and make new memories. He even convinced his reluctant wife to go once or twice.

Peter discovered his true profession 17 years ago when he became a home inspector. He derived great satisfaction from educating home buyers about the vital components and safety features of their pending purchases. His variety of inspection experiences made for interesting storytelling around the dinner table.

Spending time with his grandchildren was an unparalleled joy for Peter.

His sense of humor and big heart created many treasured moments for all.

Memorial services will be private and announced at a later date.
