Ray "Tike" Elias

of Arlington Heights

Ray Elias was born on October 15, 1936 in Chicago to Lew P. and Renee (nee Conkis) Elias. He died Thursday, October 5, 2017 in Arlington Heights.

Ray worked as a stock broker for Merrill Lynch in Chicago and later owned/operated various businesses. He and his wife were world travelers. Ray enjoyed spending time with his family and was loved by all.

Ray is survived by his spouse of 51 years, Diane (nee Malandrucolo); brother, Basil (the late Sally) Elias, sister, Harriet (the late William) Harris; sister-in-law, Evelyn Wachal; brother-in-law Bob Wachal; neices and nephews Billy Elias, Renee (Richard) Vogt, Lynn (John) Goldenne, Susan (Roger) Finn, James (Marge) Elias, John (Rodrigo Rosas) Elias, Marcus (Neta) Harris, Michele (Jack) Martin, Anthony (Melissa) Wachal and great uncle to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Prayers 8:45 am Monday, October 9, 2017 at the funeral home proceeding to Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights, IL 60005 for a 9:30 am Funeral Mass. Entombment will be at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
