

He was born on August 20, 1944, in Chicago to Johanna (Brill) and Frank Kellerman. Richard and his wife Maureen Lynn (Cassidy) Kellerman have been married for 57 years. “He was the best thing that ever happened to me.”
Together they have 2 children, Richard Kenneth Kellerman, and Laura Ann (Kellerman) Zilch (Jeffery Zilch) and 4 grandchildren, Andrew, Alizabeth, Sean, and Erick.
Richard loved and was very proud of his children and grandchildren.
Richard served in the US Army from 1965-1967 in Korea. Upon his discharge from the Army, he worked at Bell & Howell Audio Visual Division for several years. Later he turned his love of woodworking into a business for over 25 years. His work can be seen in homes, businesses, and museums throughout the Northwest suburbs.
He was a long-suffering Bears fan. Enough said.
Richard had a love of automobiles (including working on and restoring them) from antique to muscle cars to modern. He owned a few and enjoyed them all.
He will be remembered for his dedication to family, enduring friendships, and pride in everything he built, both in work and life. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Richard is preceded in death by his brother, Donald. Richard is survived by his Wife – Maureen Lynn (Cassidy) Kellerman and his children Richard Kenneth Kellerman, Laura Ann (Kellerman) Zilch and husband Jeffrey and his grandchildren , Andrew, Alizabeth, Sean, and Erick.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004, US, on April 10, 2026, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
