Richard C. Kroepel, Jr. was born on January 14, 1945 in Peoria to Richard and Viola (nee Kinsinger) Kroepel. He died Monday, January 13, 2020 in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Kroepel worked as a accountant for Uarco for more than 30 years in Barrington. He was an active member of Cross and Crown Church. Richard had many hobbies and passions through out the years but whether it be helping the church, helping someone at church, riding his bike, or spending time with the family he loved, he was 100 percent invested, and never held anything back.

Richard is survived by his spouse of 50 years,Ellen (nee Gillette), whom he married July 5, 1969 in Chicago; son, Steve (Nikki) Kroepel; grandson, Gabe Kroepel; siblings, Cary Kroepel, Gloria (Dennis) Marcantoni and Margaret Herrel; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his children, Eric Kroepel and Heidi Kroepel; and his parents.

Visitation Monday, January 20, 2020 from 10:00 am until the 11:30 am Funeral Service at Cross and Crown Lutheran Church, 1122 W. Rand Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment is private.
