Richard J. Laveau

Richard was the beloved husband for 67 wonderful years to the late Rosemarie (nee DiGilio) LaVeau; loving father to Richard (Cathy) LaVeau, Randall (Julie) LaVeau, and the late Robert LaVeau; dear grandfather to Carlie (Michael) Terchin, Richard (Julia) LaVeau, Kristine (Donald) Flower, and Rachel LaVeau; fond great grandfather to Connor Terchin and Camille Rosemarie Flower.

Richard was a U.S. Army veteran, serving 6 years in the Fifth Army and the medical corps. His podiatry practice was a fixture in downtown Arlington Heights for over forty years, where he helped hundreds of patients over the decades. Richard was the consummate family man, and doted on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, neighbors and former patients.

A visitation will be held at Glueckert Funeral Home, located at 1520 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004, on December 29, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

We will be meeting at St. James Catholic Church, 820 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004, on December 30, 2025, for the funeral mass starting at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow at St Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, 1185 Algonquin Rd, Palatine, IL 60067, on December 30, 2025.
