Richard A. "Dick" Rehwaldt, 70, of Algonquin, passed away peacefully after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Maureen (nee Mooney) Rehwaldt; loving brother of Nancy Rehwaldt; caring brother-in-law of Tom (Fumiko) Mooney and David (Sharon) Mooney; fond cousin of Carl (Mary), Chris, and Pam Busch; proud uncle of many nieces and nephews. Richard was a member of Chicago Counsil on Global Affairs, the American Legion, and the VFW. He also was a member of the Algonquin Public Arts Commission, School District 33 Dundee Republican Committee, Chairman for 15 years and a member for more than 20 years of the Schaumburg Township Mental Health Board. Visitation for family and friends will be from 10-12pm on Saturday, November 30, with the memorial service immediately following, at Willow Creek Community Church, 67 E. Algonquin Road, South Barrington, IL. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Wellness Place, 1619 W. Colonial Parkway, Palatine, IL, 60067 appreciated.
