Robert A. Kay, Sr. was born on December 4, 1937 in Chicago to John and Mary (nee Dziubinski) Kwiatkowski. He died Sunday, January 24, 2021 in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Kay served in the United States Army between the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He worked as an Engineer for AT&T for over 30 years in Chicago. Robert was a member of St. Edna Catholic Church in Arlington Heights. He loved fishing, golf and gardening. Robert loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and was loved by all.

Robert is survived by his spouse of 56 years, Evelyn (nee Konrath); children, Robert (Jennifer) Kay, Jr., Thomas J. (Amanda) Kay, Michael R. (Sheila) Kay and James Kay; grandchildren, Alexandria Kay, Michael Kay, Chloe Kay, Nora Kay, Juliana Kay, Emma Kay, Maisy Kay and Katelyn Kay; brother, John (Marilynn) Kay; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Kay and daughter-in-law, Lisa Callahan.

Visitation Friday, January 29, 2021 from 9:00 am until the 10:00 am Funeral Mass at St. Edna Catholic Church (also with capacity limits and PPE, and social distancing), 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment is private.
