Robert H. Rathmann

Robert H. Rathmann was born on March 20, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois to Henry and Evelyn Rathmann. He died Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at St. Alexius Hospital in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

Mr. Rathmann an electrician who became Chairman for Illinois J. Livingston Company. He was a member of IBEW Union Local #134, the Electrical Contractors Association, Electrical Insurance Trustees, and a member at Ridgemore Country Club and Inverness Country Club. He was voted "Man of the Year" by the Electrical Contractors Association. A second-generation electrician, he spent his entire life working for and later owning the Illinois J. Livingston Company. The company worked on the Chicago Prudential Building, the Chrysler Auto Plant in Belvidere and on many other projects in and around Chicago and its suburbs.

Robert is survived by his sons, Arnold H. Rathmann, Son, Robert L. (Jan) Rathmann; his grandchildren, Kimberly Ebner, Kristina Malone Rathmann, Kolleen Mary (Mike) Schinzel and Paul Rathmann; his great grandchildren, Emma, Percy, Kaleb and his step children, Linda (Joe) Balich, Jim (Becky) Mansell, Ed (Kathy) Mansell, Tom Mansell, and Chris (Kevin) Mansell Walsh; his sister-in-law Diane, his brother-in-law John Seper; his 14 step grandchildren and his nine step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Alice nee Bierer and his second wife Terri nee Kucala; his grandson, Robert "Bo" Rathmann; and his siblings, John Rathmann, Donald Rathmann, Jeanine Seper, and Marilyn (John) Koch.
