Robert Donald Satek

Born on March 24, 1936, in Cicero, Illinois, to Anna and John Satek, Robert lived a life rooted in family, hard work, and quiet dedication. He was the beloved husband of Patricia Satek, with whom he shared 68 wonderful years of marriage built on love, loyalty, and partnership. His brother, John, who died before him, left him with four nieces and nephews, Pat, Pam, Jay, and David.

Robert was a proud and devoted father to Robert J. Satek (Greta Satek), Steven T. Satek (Matthew Herman), and Christopher P. Satek (Steven Sergiovanni); grandfather to Anna Wernert (Sam Wernert), Clara Satek, and Lydia Satek. His family was the center of his life, and he took great pride in the lives and accomplishments of his children.

He worked for over 45 years at General Kinematics, where he was respected for his strong work ethic and commitment. He helped build the company to expand to over 40 countries. Outside of work, Robert enjoyed woodworking and golf. Whether creating something by hand in his workshop or spending time on the course, he took pride in precision and appreciated life’s simple pleasures.

Robert will be remembered for his steady presence, his devotion to his family, and the values he passed on through example.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004. The memorial service will start at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
