Robert S. Strom

Of Cary

Robert S. Strom was born on June 2, 1961 in Libertyville, Illinois to Robert and Darlene (nee Stelter) Strom. He passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington.

Robert was a former manager for Honeywell Security Protection Services and a member and former president of the Illinois Electronic Security Association. He was an accomplished upholsterer and patent holder of “Golf Ball Doorbell.” He will be remembered as someone who could carry on a conversation with anyone and he especially enjoyed entertaining people.

Robert, a devoted and loving husband, is survived by his spouse, Cheryl, (nee Wagner). He was the proud father of Cameron, Brandon (Mercedes Evans), and Alexis (Adrian Miniur) Strom. He was also a loving grandfather of Alexander and Bella, and the dear brother of Christine Strom.

He was preceded in death by father, Robert H. Strom and mother, Darlene R. Strom.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Funeral Service is at 10:00 am on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Internment is at Windridge Memorial Park Cemetery, Cary, Illinois.
