Rosemarie V. Evans

Rosemarie V. Evans, 82, beloved sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025. Born on February 24, 1942, to Peter and Anna Virgili, Rosemarie grew up in Evanston, Illinois and graduated from Marywood Academy. Her love for roller skating was how she met her husband, Victor and they spent the next 50 years raising their family in Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Rosemarie was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Anna (nee Andrashie) Virgili, and her sisters Pia Barbarba Gerard and Natalie Ann Hyba. She was the beloved wife to Victor Evans; loving mother to Anna (Lance) Evans-Yeary, Victoria (Andrew) Platt, Valerie (William) Evans-Miotek, and Diane Evans; fond grandmother to Emma Rose Platt and Aria Lynn Platt; and dear sister to Bianca Virgili and Veronica Virgili-Behme. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 8:30 – 9:30 at Glueckert’s Funeral Home in Arlington Heights, Illinois. A funeral mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights, Illinois at 10:00 am. Burial will take place at All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Rosemarie’s memory to the AHC Foundation in Southfield, Michigan (ahckids.org).

Rosemarie will be remembered for her warm smile, welcoming nature, willingness to host the best parties, and love for her family. She will be greatly missed.
