He passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014 in Arlington Heights.Roy loved his family, traveling, gardening, model trains and collecting beer cans.Roy is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carol (nee Swigert); his children, Carol (Paul) Keipert, Roy K. Weinberg, Ruth (Scott) Rickerson and Edward (Jeannie) Weinberg; his grandchildren, Jill Rickerson, Mary (Matthew) Barnes, Kathleen Rickerson, Jackie (Cory) Gerdes, Tori Weinberg and Amy Keipert; his great-grandsons, Brody Gerdes, Jaxon Gerdes and Russell Barnes; his sister, Ruth (the late Leslie) Carne; his sister-in-law, Myrtle Weinberg; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Edward C. Weinberg and Harold Weinberg.Memorial visitation from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N.
