Rudy was a proud veteran of the United States Army and a member of the VFW in Lake Villa, Illinois. He had a passion for any classic vehicle (especially Corvettes), Harleys, and Coca-Cola- he was rarely without one in hand. For over 20 years, Rudy found peace in Wild Rose where he would spend days on the lake fishing.
Rudy is survived by his loving wife of nearly 47 years Trish (nee Rodgers); children Rudy Kranz, Rodger Kranz, and Jo Ann (Paul) Obrochta; grandchildren Scarlett, Vance, and Marceline; sister Mary (Greg) Ostermann; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Ronnie Kranz.
A celebration of life for Rudy will take place on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home 1520 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL. Military honors will be presented at 6:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests those wishing to honor Rudy’s memory consider contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
