Saige Maya Hildebrandt

It was Monday, June 19, 2023 when Saige Maya Hildebrandt passed away at home with her parents by her side. Born on December 31, 2007 in Arlington Heights to Kirk and Nicole (nee Mignone) Hildebrandt, Saige was a student at Buffalo Grove High School.

A self described nerd, Saige was a courageous, affectionate daughter and a devoted friend. She loved many things a little, but a few things a lot, those being birds wearing hats, cheese, anime and Nando’s Peri-Peri chicken. She had a dorky appreciation of neck ties along with a disturbingly encyclopedic knowledge of all things Star Wars. She fancied herself a Jedi despite it being readily apparent the Council had not promoted her to such rank.

Saige was best known for her (un)funny humor, stubborn determination, and, of course, Pigeon. She is survived by her parents, Kirk and Nicole; her aunt and uncles Chris Hildebrandt, Christy (James) Maxwell and Anthony (Stacy) Mignone and by her grandfather Fred Hildebrandt.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Barbara Hildebrandt, Anthony T. and Sonya Mignone.

A celebration of Saige’s life will take place on Friday, July 7, 2023 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights from 4:00 pm until the time of eulogy at 6:00 PM. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Saige’s name to Cal’s Angels, Bear Necessities, or Lurie Children’s Foundation.
