

Sean Martin Danaher died on March 26, 2016 surrounded by her children in Highland Park, IL after a long battle with lupus and complications from two surgeries.Sean was born to Clarence Martin and Jene Lavery Martin in Wichita Falls, Texas. She grew up a tomboy, becoming an excellent runner, and always one to give the boys a run for their money. She was a passionate early childhood teacher for over 30 years, 16 of those as a first grade teacher at All Saints Catholic School in Norman, OK. Sean moved to the Chicago area to be near her children and grandchildren in August." She found pleasure in the little things as life had dealt her a difficult hand. Her strength came from her faith and family which extended to the numerous lives that she touched around her. She loved her family, her friends and Oklahoma Football.No occasion was too small for a celebration in her life, a daughter"s homecoming, son"s successful test score, granddaughters" birthdays. She never took a backseat and worked beyond her own limits to make it happen." It is now our turn to celebrate her life " celebration of Sean's life and Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. at the St. Charles Borromeo Chapel in the St. Joseph Parish Family Life Center, located at 421 E. Acres St. in Norman, Oklahoma. The pre-Mass reception begins at 12:30 p.m. in the Great Hall, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. The burial will be at 4 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Edmond, Oklahoma.She is survived by her children, daughter, Elizabeth (Adam) Berger and granddaughters" Grace and Anna Berger, son John Danaher, sister Stacey Martin (of Norman, OK), brother Chris Martin (Tracy) and nephews Christian and Stuart Martin (of Oklahoma City, OK).In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the Lupus Foundation, Oklahoma Memorial Research Foundation or perennial plants may also be brought or sent to the reception at St. Simons which we will plant in "Mimi"s Garden" at her granddaughters" home.
