Sharon Marie Baumeister

Sharon was born in Chicago on November 2, 1958, to parents Henry and Betty (nee Schminkey) Szramkowski. Sharon loved bowling and was a proud member of the WIBC. She bowled every Monday night for many years and competed in many tournaments. Sharon had a lovely flower garden that she was very proud of and found great joy in tending to it. She loved Christmas and always looked forward to all the lights and festivities. She loved reading and playing games, but her true joy in life was her daughter Stephanie. Sharon adored being a mother and her relationship with Stephanie was truly special. Sharon was a kind, joyful, and selfless woman who will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Sharon is survived by her beloved daughter, Stephanie (Michael) Gloss, Stephanie’s father, Richard Baumeister, her brothers, Henry (Kay) Szramkowski, and Stephen Szramkowski, her nieces, Jenny and Grace, and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Gruenewald, and her sister, Cindy Gopp.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 12 p.m. to time of Memorial Service 3:30 p.m. all at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
