Stanley Kaszuba was born on May 31, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to John and Mary (nee Mendrys) Kaszuba. He died peacefully on Friday, December 27, 2019 surrounded by his family. Stanley was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, always placing his family at the heart of his life.
He worked as a transportation engineer for the Chicago Tribune for the majority of his life where he enjoyed a network of close friends.
Stanley had many passions including fishing, boating, snowmobiling, spending time in the Northwoods, and weekends in Whitewater, Wisconsin, where he loved watching his fifteen grandchildren water ski and enjoy his legacy Signa boat.
Stanley is survived by his spouse of sixty years, Elaine Kaszuba (nee Wojciechowski); his children: Cheryl (Karl) Dorn, Stanley (Denise) Kaszuba, Jr., Karen (Paul) Dos Santos, Lynnette Kaszuba, Jacqueline (Joseph) Hare, Tami (Joseph) Massaro, and Scott (Amy) Kaszuba; as well as his grandchildren: Cody and Chase Dorn; Justin, Eric, and Tyler Kaszuba; Branden and Blake Dos Santos; Thaddeus Kaszuba; Jacob and Juliet Hare; Joshua and Adam Massaro; and Matthew, Kay, and Mitchell Kaszuba.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his sisters Irene (late John) Kaszuba and Marianne (late Kenneth) Therjung.
Visitation is Monday, December 30, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a Celebration of Life Service being held at 7:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
