Timothy M. Dixon

of Arlington Heights, IL

Timothy M. Dixon, 71, was born December 19, 1952, in Topeka, KS to Richard and Angie (nee Moe) Dixon. He died Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at his home.

Mr. Dixon was employed by the Village of Arlington Heights for over 30 years. He worked in the Public Works Department and was a Public Service Officer with the Police Department.

He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge for his service.

Timothy was a proud graduate of the 1971 class of Arlington High School and enjoyed telling stories of the days he worked at the Arlington Theater. He liked simple pleasures, backyard grilling and fishing were two of his favorite past times. The Big Cedar Lodge in Missouri was a favorite destination to relax with his wife, Theresa.

Tim is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Francis) Mangayao and Michelle (Erik) Stenberg, his grandson, Finn Stenberg, his new baby granddaughter, Theresa Mangayao, and his uncle Gerald (Kaye) Moe.

He is preceded in death by his dear wife, Theresa; and his parents.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm Sunday, April 21, 2024, with a Eulogy Service at 12:30 pm. at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Committal Service with full military honors is planned for 2:30 pm, Monday, April 29, 2024 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 West Hoff Road, Elwood, IL 60421. Guests should meet at the information booth by 1:45 pm..
