Vera T. Schiewe

Vera T. Schiewe Of Arlington Heights Vera T. Schiewe was born on December 14, 1913 in Chicago to Daniel and Thekla (nee Beil) Scheidecker. She died Friday, September 23, 2016 in Arlington Heights. Vera worked as a secretary for Gilette Publishing 1937 to 1943, and a clerk for Carlton Cards in Randhurst from 2000 to 2007. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights. Vera loved to spend time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren, and was loved by all. Vera is survived by her son, Richard (Caryl) Schiewe; grandchildren, Matthew Schiewe, Lisa (David) Marchione, Cristen (Michael) Gierach, and Daniel Schiewe: great-grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher and Katelyn Marchione, and Andrew and Madelyn Gierach; and sister, Alice (Norman) Sprung. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin O. Schiewe; her parents; her sister, Edna (James) Woodward. Visitation Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 10:00 am until the time of the 12:00 pm Funeral Service at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment will be at Ridgewood Cemetery in Des Plaines. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Faith Lutheran Church, 431 S.
