Vincent "Vinny" Airdo

Vinny was an Army Veteran, having served from 1951-1953. Following his military service, he dedicated his professional life to serving as a Firefighter in Brookfield, IL.

He spent years referring football, basketball and umpire for baseball.

Vinny had a love for Las Vegas, Hollywood casino, OTB, puppets, toys, jokes and variety of hats.

Vinny is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Pat Airdo, Roseanne (John) Glueckert, and Betty Walter.

He is survived by his children, Mike (Rita) Airdo of Oak Park, Cecilia O'Neill of Villa Park, and Nancy (Dave) Schneider of Lisle. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, David, Larry, Tony, Kevin, and Cory, as well as his great-grandchild, David Vincent "DJ" Schneider.

Vinny's legacy of humor, kindness, and dedication to his community will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL, 60004, on January 31, 2026, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Army honors will start at 2:00 pm.
