Virginia "Jinny" DonovanOf Prospect HeightsVirginia "Jinny" Donovan was born on September 11, 1929 in Evanston to Becher and Dorothy (nee Davis) Hungerford. She died Saturday, October 3, 2015 at her residence in Prospect Heights with "Seymour", her best friend, by her side.Virginia was Valedictorian of her Class of "52", Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, MI. Jinny taught high school math at Sacred Heart of Mary High School, in Rolling Meadows, for 17 years. She was a member of St. David's Episcopal Church in Glenview where she was actively involved in her Guild. Jinny enjoyed the Chicago Arts, Theater and Symphony and also enjoyed college football, and had a allegiance for Northwestern University Football, "Go Cats!" She loved to travel, read, and entertain with family and friends. Jinny loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was loved by all. Virginia is survived by children Mark (Jeannette) Donovan and Kerry (Rick) Cummings, Grandchildren; Drew R. (Kristen) Donovan, Ross (Corrie) Donovan, Luke Donovan, Jake (Fiance Liz James) Donovan, Cortney Donovan, Charlie (Fiance Lori Barker) Cummings, Tim (Megan) Cummings, Anne Cummings and Doug Cummings; great-grandchildren, Brady Donovan, Quinn Donovan, Clive Donovan and Gilbert Donovan; nephews, Thomas (Janine) English, John Edward (Sharon) English and niece, Kay Faulkner-Penrod; her dog and best friend "Seymour". She was preceded in death by Spouse, Robert F. Donovan, Sister, Roberta English, Nephew, Donald English. Visitation Friday, October 9, 2015 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. In-State 9:30 am Saturday, October 10, 2015 until the 10:30 am Funeral Service at St. David's Episcopal Church, 2410 Glenview Road, Glenview, IL 60025. Interment is private.
