Arthur Francis Pickard

Arthur Francis Pickard, 81, passed away on Feb. 26, 2016. Visitation: Tues., March 1, 2016 from 5-7 p.m., Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home. Funeral Mass: Wed., March 2, 2016, 10a.m. at St. Matthews Catholic Church, Arlington, Texas with burial to follow at DFW National Cemetery at 1:30p.m.

Arthur was born on Nov. 30, 1934 to Arthur Otis and Dorothy Francis Pickard in Salem, MA. Art was an avid race fan following both NASCAR and Formula One racing. He enjoyed helping others, especially children. He retired from the U.S. Air Force with 20 years of dedicated service, and also served as a 4th Degree knight with the Knights of Columbus.

Those preceding Arthur in death are his parents and daughter, Theresa L. Hebert.

Survivors: beloved wife of 52 years, Nancy L. Pickard, sisters; Nancy Gibbs, Betty LaCasse and Sue Hunter, children; Herman Pickard, Karl Pickard and Lisa Sherrill-Hall, grandchildren; Elizabeth, Erica, Rebecca Dawn, Jonathan, Donovan, Steven, Joshua, Randi and Samantha. He had 8 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
